We are driven by thoughts. The reader is requested to introspect how thoughts are formed. In ‘the thoughts’, we need to identify “I” which is the source of Peace and Happiness. The tricky part of our lives is our thoughts. The Mind generates the thoughts. The “accumulation” of various experiences is recorded in the Mind. Whenever we get the feeling from our five senses, the mind surfaces the thoughts related to that feel accumulated form our childhood days.
When we see something, for example a beautiful flower, the mind builds the thoughts by recollecting all the previous experiences related to that flower and surfaces that thought or actions related to it. These thoughts engulfs the “I”, and tricks that “I” is feeling happy or sad or afraid or some other thought, what is no where connected to flower. If the past related to it is Happy, we feel happy, else sad. The tricky mind “play” is that, we feel that the beautiful flower is mine or “I” should possess. From there our attachment to that increases which leads to Happiness or Sadness which is nowhere related to “I”. The same is applicable to all what we see.
Once this is over, as a human being we see other flower or may be anything and again the mind surfaces the thoughts related to it. In same lines, some thoughts surfaces when we Smell or Taste or Listen or Touch as a play of the mind. Each thought blends into another thought without any break or gap. The “thoughts flow” is like the flow of oil, but not like water. These thoughts force the person (even the Author) to act completely unrelated to the time at that moment. These actions, we feel that the “I” is doing all the actions which leads to unhappiness. Let us introspect.
The path to happiness is just to observe the thoughts, and judge wisely whether the “thoughts” keep us happy or not. How these thoughts are related to “I”?. Since how long this “I” is mistaken for actions of “thoughts”? is the key to happiness. The mind generates the thoughts of two things or actions. One is, which action/thought which mind “likes” the most in the present/past things/persons/ideas. Second is, which action/thought which mind “dislikes” at present or into the future. So mind generates thoughts which belong to “like and dislike”. The total thoughts move between “like and dislike”. If “I” can identify these thoughts, happiness is on the way.
